Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Circulator role in a perioperative setting, requiring active Oregon RN licensure and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- Perioperative/Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
- Serves all patient populations across perioperative services
- 3x12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- On-call responsibilities required on a regular scheduled rotation
- Travelers may be floated to other departments where qualified before core staff is floated
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Oregon required
- OR RN license required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 3+ years of RN experience required
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and transition between duties without loss of efficiency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse patient populations
Additional Information
- Functions as the primary circulating RN, serving as patient advocate throughout the intraoperative experience
- Responsibilities include surgical site verification, specimen management, surgical item accounting, medication administration, and infection prevention
- Monitors and maintains patient physiological systems including respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal status
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and applies conflict resolution skills to maintain effective working relationships
- CNOR certification, Peri-op 101 coursework, and scrub experience are preferred
- CRASE training will be required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
- Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the position
