Description

The Registered Nurse will perform duties for the surgical patient in accordance with the Nursing Standards of Care and AORN Standards and will implement and evaluate that care utilizing the Nursing Process.

Will function as a member of the surgical team linking sterile and non-sterile fields.

Will organize and oversee the operating room during the surgical procedure by maintaining surgical records, assisting anesthesia as needed, keeping the patient’s family informed of the patient’s condition, assuring patient’s safety and comfort, assisting scrub team in maintaining sterile field, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Requirements

Graduated from an accredited school in Nursing

Must have a current Texas License or a nursing compact license
